AI Industry Challenge
You have used AI. But can you apply it to a real workplace problem? No prior coding knowledge is required.
Time & Location
06 Aug 2026, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm IST
Conference Room, 5th Floor Building no, 10 A, DLF Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, Sector 24, Gurugram, Haryana 122002, India
About the event
The AI Industry Challenge is a hands-on workshop for university students, recent graduates and early professionals who want to understand how AI is applied beyond casual prompts and generic outputs.
You will work on a realistic workplace problem, use AI to examine information, develop recommendations and present your thinking.
You will also receive a behind-the-scenes demonstration of selected AI tools and workflows used internally by us.
Registration Deadline
Registrations for the AI Industry Challenge will close on Wednesday, 5th August 2026 at 9:00 pm IST, or earlier if all available places are filled.
Using AI is easy. Applying it well is different.
Many students have used AI to write assignments, summarise information, generate ideas, prepare presentations, improve their CVs or answer questions.
But workplace problems rarely arrive as simple prompts.
You may need to:
understand an unclear problem and work with incomplete or unstructured data;
identify patterns and design a repeatable AI workflow;
verify whether outputs are reliable and exercise your own judgement;
communicate a recommendation that others can trust.
The challenge
You will receive a realistic industry-style brief involving a problem such as:
understanding customer or audience conversations;
analysing feedback;
evaluating a market opportunity;
recommending business actions;
developing an AI-assisted research or content workflow.
You may be given a company or organisational context, supporting information, a clear objective, practical constraints and/or an expected final deliverable.
Your task will be to use AI to understand the problem, develop a response and explain your reasoning.
Challenge Awards and Recognition
The AI Industry Challenge is not only an opportunity to learn - it is also an opportunity to demonstrate how you think, apply AI and communicate a solution.
The three highest performing participants will receive:
First Place: ₹3,000 Challenge Award - The winner will also be featured through the British Alumni Network platform, including selected digital and community channels.
Second Place: ₹2,000 Challenge Award
Third Place: ₹1,000 Challenge Award
Certificate of Participation - AI Industry Challenge: Every eligible participant who attends and completes the workshop will receive a certificate of participation. The certificate will recognise participation industry-style AI problem-solving experience.
Experience selected in-house AI tools
As part of the workshop, participants will receive a practical demonstration of selected AI tools and workflows used internally.
The purpose is not merely to show another AI application.
It is to help you see how organisations combine:
"a business question + information + automation + AI + verification + human judgement"
to create a repeatable working process.
How the workshop works
You will begin by approaching the problem using your existing AI knowledge and produce a reliable recommendation to the business challenge.
By the end of the AI Industry Challenge, you should have a clearer understanding of:
how AI is used on structured workplace problems;
how organisations build AI workflows;
why problem framing matters;
where human judgement remains essential;
how AI can support research, analysis and content creation;
how practical AI capability can be demonstrated through projects;
how AI may apply to your academic field or career direction.
The purpose is to help you experience the difference between:
“I have used AI.”
and
“I applied AI to a structured problem, reviewed the output and can explain what I did.”
