AI Industrial Training Externship

AI Industrial Training Externship is a 7-day hybrid industry project programme designed for students, graduates and early-career professionals who want to build practical AI-enabled career and workplace skills. Participants begin by completing a Career Discovery Report, which helps identify their strengths, development areas, working style and potential contribution to a project team. These insights are then used to support project guidance during the externship. Across the programme, participants work on a company-backed AI industrial project. The industry partner provides the project context, topic and expected output, helping participants engage with a realistic workplace-style challenge. Participants learn how to use AI for research, analysis, communication, problem solving, and presentation development. The programme includes virtual learning and project development days, followed by a final Corporate Experience Day, where eligible participants engage in a professional setting, showcase or reflect on their project work, receive company assessment or feedback, and understand how to use the experience for career progression. Participants are expected to complete the Career Discovery Report before starting, attend or complete the required learning modules, contribute to the assigned project, submit the final output and participate in the Corporate Experience Day to be eligible for the certificate. The programme is especially suitable for those who want to understand how AI can be applied beyond theory - in real workplace tasks, industry problems and professional communication.
